There are different ways to give — financial support is only one.

The woman I met at the market

Mrs Jadeann Noyan

Well known and highly respected in her community, what struck me immediately was her passion and her unwavering dedication to helping other people — while having very little herself. Despite her own difficulties, she kept giving from her own family resources to support people who were struggling.

“Access to food is a fundamental human right. Nobody should go hungry simply because they have fallen on difficult times.”

The belief Mrs Jadeann and Elsa share — and the reason this mission exists.

I went to Jamaica on holiday. I left with a purpose.

Last year I was immediately captivated by the beauty, warmth and spirit of the island. But from my very first day I was also confronted by something that profoundly affected me: the contrast between Jamaica’s incredible natural beauty and the severe poverty experienced by many of its people, particularly in Ocho Rios. I saw families struggling, and it broke my heart.

I thought at first that I had simply met someone doing incredible work and that there might be a way for me to help her. The more I thought about what I had seen, the more I realised this could become something much bigger. It started with compassion. It is becoming action.
